Hi, I'm Phyllis, founder of Wild About Natives—and yes, I'm wild about Florida's native plants and wildlife!

Born and raised in Southeast Florida, I've always had a deep appreciation for the incredible diversity of plants and wildlife that make our state so unique. That lifelong passion led me to a career in conservation, where I've spent years working in land management, habitat restoration, environmental education, and invasive species management with the Florida Park Service and other agencies.

Through my work, I've developed extensive hands-on experience identifying Florida's native and invasive plants and restoring landscapes using science-based, environmentally responsible practices. I founded Wild About Natives to bridge the gap between traditional landscaping and ecological restoration, helping homeowners, HOAs, conservation organizations, and landowners transform their properties into healthy, resilient habitats that support Florida's native wildlife.
